Perfect Man
No man is perfect.....i disagree.....perfection is purely a state of mind. Among one of the limitless capabilities of the human mind is its capability to choose what it wants to believe. If the mind wants to believe an object to be perfect then it simply alters the 'dimension of perfectness' to accommodate that object. To be a perfect man one just needs to sculpture his 'idea of perfectness' to accommodate himself. The requirement of self improvisation is unnecessary to be a 'perfect man', it is necessary to be a better 'perfect man'.

Ankush
If he was around during pre-independence time then he would have claimed his space in our history books along with his Bengali freedom fighter forefathers. And a great one he would have been because i am yet to meet anyone who can work with such fierce determination towards what he wants like this bong can. But his inner aggression is lost in his placid exterior. Friendly, accommodating, peaceful and thoughtful are few of his valuable qualities and his ability of appreciating the small things in life is more than admirable. He is what many call a 'freelance thinker". A reader, a beliver of free will and also our mobile dictionary. His lanky frame nicely supplements his amazing basketball skills and we have shared some unforgettable moments on the court. An impressive runner and someone who hasnt been bitten by the 'lets fatten up' bug.
Anyways...one thing is for sure. If he ever writes a book I would be the first one to buy it.

Civilization
Civilization: making or becoming civilized ie to improve from a primitive to a developed stage of society or to simply to improve the behavior of.....(oxford)
Mankinds biggest achivement...civilization. No. Sorry. I am wrong. How can it be called an achivement if it is not yet attained. The scope of improvement is not exhausted and so civilization is not yet achieved. Will it ever be? The process of getting civilized is the the thing at which mankind has been working at since his very existence. Phew!! So many lifetimes over and over again!! Think about it. Do we have a claim to the word 'civilized'? If so then civilized against what? Against our past! Oh yes we are! We have improved right? Then what about our past? 'uncivilised'? Did they think of themselves uncivilized? I dont think so. Well..again..will our future accuse us of being 'uncivilized'? So is the idea of civilization a paranoia of the present grandeur compared to the past...'the theory of relativity' of life?
Or is it a war which we wage against our own past? The same war which our future will wage against us in its time. A war which maintains the constant unstability across time required for its very existence. A silent war and we are all soldiers. Fighting little battles. Battles against individual pasts. A battle without boundaries. The battle of self improvisation. We use up our
lifetime waging this war and then hand it over to the next generation to take it from where we left to bring oneself to perfection. The perfect being in a Perfect society in a perfect
world. God save us if that happens. That would be the end. It would stop the process. The process which is responsible for the evolution of mankind. The process which is the very reason for man to exist. Man is an animal of reason. That would be his folly on judgement
day. Perfection attained, he looses his 'reason' for existence and that will finish him. It would kill you and me too.
Perfection is what I want and perfection is what I will never achive. Thank god for that. I prefer joining the battle which i wont win. I want to be in the process not be the result.
You can call me 'uncivilized'.

Sonam Shah

My first beer is dedicated to this guy for buying it for me....but dont get me wrong..he would be the first person to kick your backside if he thinks you are going the wrong way....a guy with sophisticated tastes and a 'dont mess with me attitude'....if you are not his friend it is because he doesnt want you as his friend.Amongst his friends he plays the 'guy who is matured' role and carries it quite well too.He is a guy who stands up to what he thinks is right without bothering much about its consequences. One thing he loves more than his bike is his cellphone (anyone could guess why).He belongs to Nainital and his parents are settled in Delhi but the place he calls home is 'Jaipur'.Someone said...'love endures....'

Amchi Mumbai!!!!

Born and brought up in the city of Cochin i will still swear my alligeance to this city so aptly called 'the queen of the Arabian sea'. But there is another city up the coast upon which the salt white foams of the Arabian sea unleashes its charm.....a city which with its five islands in unision has captured my fondness......The city of Mumbai.
This fondness has surprised me in quite a few ways.Firstly because I have lived here only for a very brief period of seven months (and a few 3 day visits).Secondly because of the preconcieved notion I carried about Mumbai being an over polluted and overpopulated city which was proved right to a very great extent. But the city has a charismatic charm which eventually won my heart.
Being in the profession i am in, I had the rare privilage of living in Mumbai and not get involved and observe the city from an outsiders view and also participate when i felt like doing so by just letting go and immersing myself in the wave of motion that this city is.That is true...Mumbai is in 'constant motion' and it is this 'constant motion' that defines its existence....you stop and you will be left behind. To live in this city one must be prepared to switch over to a high energy state which this city demands. To witness this 'high energy' one just has to step into the local rail terminal at churchgate...
The high concentration of activity one gets to witness here is a sight to behold. The people here look possessed....looks as if they are in a race...a race with time where everyone knows exactly what his role is and carries it out with such mechanical precision that you just look in wonder.A train stops.....an avalanche of people unleashed onto the platform and then diffusing into the sea of people already there.....some stop to have their routine frankie n munch it on their way to a taxi...some need their coffee...while some others cannot afford these luxuries so just breeze past....across the road....down a lane and eventually to their small shop at fashion street.Life here goes on....'life' doesn't have much of a choice....In Mumbai everyone is a 'Mumbaikar',doesn't matter where your origin is or what the language your tounge speaks, because unless u don't belong u wont be.
Another aspect of Mumbai is its capability to provide you an environment which gives you ample opportunity to unwind and come to ground zero after a hard day......environment available
: so many......marine drive, chowpati, causeway, carter's road, juhu, n so on......too many to list...n too few i have visited to mention here....and of course if you are the party going type then you have tavern, totos, polyester, enigma, leopold, escape, rockbottom, hawaian shack, not to mention the after party lounge zaffran and so on....again...too many to mention.....and that too....one thing or the other available 24 hours of the day...so it doesn't matter if you are the 'work hard during the day' or the 'work hard during the night' types....you have places available at all times to cater for your needs.....
Yet another thing admirable about the clan of 'Mumbaikars' is their attitude of 'i am busy so i don't have time for anything else'.This lets people live their life the way they want without bothering much about what the society thinks because of the fact that the society is too busy earning their living to poke their nose into how you live your life.....nowhere else in our country have i found a place where girls can travel at 2 at night without feeling too threatened....
It has been only a short while since i have been away from Mumbai but i already miss it badly....miss the malls...the crowded trains....the yellow black taxis....the midnight dhabhas....the egg burjis....the pav bhajis.....and foremost...the twilight at marine drive....it feels like i have left a part of me behind and then burdened the other part of me to carry so fond memories of this enchanted city that it begs to return.......what can i say but....
amchi mumbai!!!

Vishal Sharma
He belives in 'sunlight is harmful for me because of d uv rays' so sleeps the whole day n 'everybody sleeps at night so shall i' n goes on to sleep the whole night....but all this comes wth a package of attitude that says 'im going to do as i please irrespective of the consequences'.....after knowing him i have started beliving in the phrase 'fortune favours the brave'...lady luck stays committed to him....the guy has a heart of gold n cannot stand to see people suffering but it definitely not a nice idea to come on his wrong side...
Akshay Raja
His confidence in the matters of the world is of of such a high virtue that we trust him only when he is not confident of something. His friendly n 'i want to have fun n u can come along' attitude makes him an amazing company.
